SYNOPSIS
Théodore, an acting student, sees acting as much more than just a calling or a passion. For as long as he can remember, in “real life,” he has expressed his own emotions through the words of others. Plays, songs, and sketches—about love, art, and society—form the core of his personal repertoire.
Through this film, we are immersed in the unique and poetic world of this young man with Asperger’s syndrome, who is determined to speak to the world.
THE DIRECTOR
She graduated from the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 1997.
She was a fellow at the Centre Européen d’Actions Artistiques Contemporaines in 1999.
She creates digital installations while simultaneously developing documentary film projects, which have been the central theme of her work since 2000.
Eager to explore different genres and spaces, her works have been broadcast on television and have also been shown at the FRAC Alsace, the Etats Généraux du Film documentaire in Lussas, and the Paris International Human Rights Festival.
Sophie-Charlotte Gautier’s multifaceted work combines images and sounds from a variety of sources; she crafts a dense and composite audiovisual landscape by taking detours as diverse as photography and drawing.
