SYNOPSIS
A father and his teenage daughter explore feminism and how it’s portrayed, and together they set out to meet women of all ages and backgrounds who can help them understand what Galane is feeling: injustice and a sense of being misunderstood.
As the film unfolds, Galane matures, and the daughter’s endless questions are joined by those of the father, who realizes that it is high time for him, too, to reexamine his own beliefs.
THE DIRECTOR
A native of Finistère, Tanguy Alanou trained in audiovisual techniques in Salon-de-Provence, after which he joined the Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg in 2003, where he was responsible for producing trailers and managing projections during performances. In 2008, he returned to Brittany, where he worked at an agency before becoming a freelance director, cinematographer, and editor in 2013.
He co-wrote *Dessine-moi une féministe* with his daughter Galane, a film that explores feminism and its representation.
Tanguy collaborates with Le Quartz, Brest’s national theater, the Harmonia Mundi label, the Paris Philharmonic, the Atlantique Jazz Festival, the Longueur d’ondes Festival, the Ensemble Sillages, and the Le Logelloù center for artistic exploration and creation.
