Remembering the future

by Nadège BUHLER

SYNOPSIS

Edwàr, Matskat, and Nicolas Fischer are reinventing Alsatian song by blending folk, electro, jazz, and rock with lyrics in dialect. Between concerts, studio sessions, and intimate conversations, these modest yet committed artists explore their creative process, their challenges, and the legacy of traditional repertoires. Their music, both innovative and rooted in tradition, becomes a bridge between Alsace and other cultures, fostered by stage collaborations with artists from around the world. Beyond art, their project champions a vibrant, open, and diverse regional identity in a constantly evolving contemporary world.
